Nestled into an extremely steep site and surrounded by high-rise apartment buildings, our Darling’s Vista house is a rare single residential dwelling in a historic part of Sydney that, throughout the 1960’s and 70’s under relaxed planning controls, saw the majority of its single residential dwellings bulldozed to make way for large multi-residential towers. Challenged by the steep site and flanking residential towers that define the Darling Point landscape, our concept was developed to offer relief to the vertical streetscape, providing a confident and elegant intervention in this rather hostile visual environment.
We are proud to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land upon which Darling’s Vista sits; the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation.
